Christmas. My husband and I are on our honeymoon in the States. We’ve travelled from LA to Vegas back to LA again and on to New York, then Utah and finally over to Vernal. I’m exhausted from the non-stop trains, planes, buses, dragging our suitcases with us everywhere, handles breaking and having to carry them. Christmas morning arrives and I’m too tired to get out of bed, but then—like magic—it starts to snow. It was so beautiful I cried. We headed outside and played like kids on sleds racing through the white blanketed streets. The enchantment of First Snow brought back this wonderful memory, which I’ll treasure forever. It was a tender and captivating read for my kids, who are yet to experience first snow
